This PTO gearbox is designed to connect gear pumps to farm tractor power take-offs (PTO). It has an output speed of 540 RPM and is suitable for different input operating speeds as long as the gearbox output speed does not exceed 3000 RPM. The gearbox is made with a shell-cast aluminum or high mechanical resistance cast iron housing, and gears made with Steel UNI 18 PCR M03. The shafts are made with steel UNI 16 CRN4, and they are coupled with gears via splined parts for better torque resistance. Stub teeth ensure high resistance and quiet operation. Designed for continuous duty cycles, the torque numbers mentioned in the technical charts of all the PTO Gearboxes refer to constant duty cycles. Torques under intermittent operating conditions can be exceeded by 20%. Lubrication requires SAE 90 gear oil to be installed in the PTO gearbox before use. The oil should be changed after the first 60-80 hours and then every year or 1500 hours which ever comes first. Maintenance involves checking the oil level via the special oil window every 50 hours. Operating temperatures should not exceed 120 degrees Celsius under continuous duty cycle. Pump assembly requires a half-coupling and a fitting flange according to specific specifications.
